The 6129 forms the underpinning knowledge requirements for the NVQ as well as being a respected qualification in its own right. It can be studied either in conjunction with the NVQ or can be completed individually. It is often offered by colleges for adults looking for a qualification to break into the industry. Most of the time the Level 2 is run as an evening class allowing adults to complete the qualification whilst at work.
