CORGI are a statutory regulatory body governing gas installers. Directly answerable to the HSE, the aim is to remove the'cowboy' operators and improve Health and Safety standards within the industry.

Registration with CORGI requires the ACS qualification and payment for registration. Without CORGI registration, it is illegal to carry out work on gas installations.
