EAL
Formerly known as EMTA, EAL currently offers 2 qualifications of relevance to the plumbing industry with more on the way. They are presenting their qualifications as a challenge to the well established City and Guilds and offer each course at the equivalent level. Some colleges may use the EAL route and this is a perfectly acceptable and valid route to getting qualified as a plumber.
NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 Plumbing Certificate
A direct equivalent of the traditional City and Guilds qualifications.
